paintings

Got these paintings from my parents. These are not copies. They are real!!, were painted by the real artists. Original arts.

I don't like copy paintings. Very easily here to get the copy paintings, reproductions. Copy of Van Gogh's, copy of Picasso's, Renoir's, Dali's, Monet's, etc. Berserakan. Everywhere. Why they do that. Actually they are very good artists, they can paint!, they can copy the famous paintings very good. Why don't they just proud of theirself?. Maybe I know the answer, because western people here like to buy those!. For them it could be more class or style, if they have these in their home in Europe. Even they are reproductions off course. Because real paintings must be very...expensive there. They must be proud to have these.

The Krakatau was made around 1960's. It was painted by Srihadi Soedarsono. I think he liked to paint krakatau. Because he had made few paintings about krakatau.

Believed that one of Indonesian tycoons really wants The Srihadi Sudarsono Paintings which were made around 60's. He said that if he could to have those, he would paid milyaran rupiah for one piece. But I just wanna keep it for myself, me, my uncle's niece. Oom Srihadi.

Sorry not for sale. Family value.

These Lukisan Pasar were made by Koempoel. As a Javanese, (older generation) my late father really liked paintings about traditional market-market life-suasana pasar. These were his favourites. I don't know what year these painting were made. But for sure I've known these since I was a kid, for more than 30 years.....

This painting is belongs to Arif. His opa gave it to him. My late father knew that my elder son likes boats so much. This lukisan kapal was a special gift (special delivery) for cucu opa. Arif Hermanto.

This painting below is also old enough. Painted by an ITB (Institute of Technology Bandung) student in 1960's.

the antiques

I love this gebengan. It's really beautiful. It's old (hundreds years for sure) but elegant. Not to mention it is veryy..heavy.

One day in Surabaya around 1980's. A student college from madura came to my mom ( for some reason he knew that my parents liked antique stuff). He brought this gebengan and begged her to buy this. My mom tried to bargain but my brother who was at the university at that time told her not to bargain. Yes my mom bought this. The young man was happy he said that the money would be for his school expenses.

The console table, chairs and the mirror are not in one set. But my mother liked to put them together. So do I. They are nice. The table has a hidden small trunk attached. A dutch lady used to keep her sewing stuff and maybe her jewelleries here. The chairs are the oldest. They were made between 1600's. The crown's mirror is not antique. The original crown had been missing. But the mirror itself is old. My father bought them separetely and put them together.

My parents always got the antique stuff with very good price. Sometime the sellers themself just came and offered theirs to them. Or the stuff had been abandoned by the owner and just gave them to my parents. Well it's destiny, I think. (iku jenenge wes jodohe..)

FORMAL DINING ROOM

DINING ROOM ( DAILY USED)

Disebelah kiri sebelum menuju ruang tv, ada another bathroom. Untuk temen2 yg datang. (rest room begitu.....)

Apalagi aye, selaku sang ratu. Heh..heh...heh....
Jadi termasuk ruangan yg selalu paling sering dibersihkan. Mau masak...?? harus dalam keadaan bersih. Selesai masak??...wah apalagi ini mah kudu segera dibersihkan. Dilarang ada barang kotor menumpuk minta dicuci. Hayo segera lakukan!!. Paling betah emang deh gw ama dapur. Coba ada TV-nya. Hi...hi...jangan ah, ntar kamar sendiri lewat.

Selain masih berlangganan majalah Architectural Digest, kadang2 aku beli Florida House atau buku2 lainnya. Memang aku hobby noto2 and beres2. Gaya kita adalah gaya yg ke indonesia-indonesia-an. Sebenernya daku seneng barang antik sih.

So... gw nggak bisa deh bikin cookies, hi...hi...alasan !. Pasti yg bener memang males adanya.
